Mostly because I&#8217;m doing something &#8211; anything &#8211; positive for my health, but results help. \ud83d\ude42 I&#8217;ve lost ~20 pounds and move and feel so, so, so much better. It&#8217;s great. I&#8217;m still VERY new to this &#8211; training, tracking, all of it &#8211; so I&#8217;ve made a study of Calisthenic Movement&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCZIIRX8rkNjVpP-oLMHpeDw\">YouTube channel<\/a>, scouring the comments and cataloguing the videos. It&#8217;s been very educational.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve written pages of feedback to CM about my experiences, good and bad, some of which I&#8217;ve seen come out in videos they&#8217;ve produced. I like to think I contributed, but I&#8217;m sure they get tons of feedback from their viewership and clients. This picture went along with a testimonial wrote for them and I liked it well enough to make it my profile pic pretty much everywhere.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_332\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-332\" style=\"width: 348px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/karenmcmullan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/KPM_2016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-332\" src=\"http:\/\/karenmcmullan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/KPM_2016.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"348\" height=\"262\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-332\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I was laughing because the dang phone kept falling over.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>(SIDE NOTE: Before this, my profile picture was of me at E3 from 2001 or 2002 at Katana on Sunset. These pictures are fifteen years apart. Whoa.<\/p>\n<p>I live in Los Angeles now and wouldn&#8217;t have foreseen that then. Strangely, I haven&#8217;t been back to Katana. I don&#8217;t really feel I have the experience or judgment to make changes to the program, so after some discussion with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BD-ijsWEMg_\/?taken-by=calimove\">Sven and Alex<\/a> (they are Calisthenic Movement), we decided that a program tailored to my level of fitness (low), experience (newb), and goals (basic) was the way forward.<\/p>\n<p>These tailored programs are their OPT programs &#8211; Online Personal Training. They ask for current abilities, what equipment you have access to (for me: dip bars, rings)\u00a0 I set my goals at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lose 40 more pounds<\/li>\n<li>5 Pushups<\/li>\n<li>1 Pullup<\/li>\n<li>L-sit of TBD seconds<\/li>\n<li>1 Pistol Squat<\/li>\n<li>Ring support hold of any duration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alex (who narrates most of the CM videos) usually handles English-language online training, but because I&#8217;ve talked with Sven a lot, they decided that he would handle mine. Alex dodged a bullet, because I tend to have LOTS of questions and feedback.
